Affirmation Action? The Path of Positive Affirmations.
I didn't know what action to take. I was having trouble thinking in a positive way, and positivity is my #1 Strength. (You can read about that in About Us.) I was literally in a quandary.
It was New Year's Day, 2010. For the last six months, I was restless in my job. I was preoccupied. I kept going back to this prayer:
"Father, I am facing the last quadrant of my life,
now what? What is it Your desire of me?"
What came out of that "struggle" are the following positive affirmations which I still read almost every day:
TODAY I will appreciate all the color I see in nature. Look at this magnificent orange sky. God is so generous in His colors! Notice them today and thank God for them. He loves you so much.
Today I am loved by the God of all creation, and the King of Kings is my Father. “He is especially fond of me.” (W. Paul Young The Shack)
Today I am forgiven all my sin through the substitutionary life, death, and resurrection of my Savior, Jesus Christ, and Jesus lives in me! "Grace nullifies sin's power over me." (Milton Vincent The Gospel Primer)
Today I am in a personal, living relationship with a relational Heavenly Father. He constantly draws me to Himself in love. "Today, I intend to participate in the Divine Nature." 2 Peter 1:3-4.
Today God empowers me, and because the Holy Spirit lives in me, I am cheerful, kind, loving, forgiving, good, faithful, generous, patient, full of peace and self-control. God blesses me out of His love, and that blessing goes out to help and encourage all who God places in my path.
Today I talk to my Father through prayer. I worship Him, love Him, adore Him, thank Him and appreciate everything He gives me, whether I like it or not. Daily I read His words to me, written in His wonderful Book, the Bible.
Today I surrender everything I have and everything I am, and willingly bow before my Sovereign Father, who loves me. I chose to trust God with every facet of my life. “The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.” Job 1:21b NIV
Today is a clean slate; a fresh opportunity to be all that I have been created to be. Today I am on an adventure with God.
Today I am a total success! I am a great wife, mother, daughter, friend, Realtor, teacher,
writer, consultant, salesperson, thinker, mentor, influencer, actress and "doer" because the God of the Universe holds my hand and prepares my path, and I am not afraid.
(Please personalize this to affirm all of your talents.)
Today I am “energetic in my life of salvation…and that energy is God’s energy, an energy deep within me; God Himself is willing and working at what will give Him the most pleasure.” Philippians 2:13 MSG….to accomplish all He desires to accomplish through me. It will be done!
Today I have no fear. "Perfect love drives out fear." 1 John 4:18 NIV. “I live by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7 NIV

Today
Today I learned a very precious thought,
God reminded me -- with His Love, I was brought
To the place where I could trust and believe;
Where I would complete Redemption receive.
Today I learned I must open my Heart,
God reminded me -- He has done His Part.
Now I must believe He ransomed my soul
Snatched me happily from Satan's goal.
Today I learned not to limit God's Power;
Believe and receive all the blessings He showers.
To His children, He says, "Don't be afraid.
Your life is FREE. Your full debt is paid."
Today I learned for me Heaven awaits.
Jesus up from His Throne -- goes to the gate.
He stands, looks as far as He can see.
He's happily, excitedly waiting for me.
