Bible Verses About Faith

And speaking of Bible verses about faith, they are useful every day.  They inspire us and encourage us, and once they are memorized, they are even more useful!

What if I were to tell you, "Stand firm in the faith of oxygen and carbon dioxide." You would question my sanity. Yes, we do have faith that oxygen will be inhaled and carbon dioxide exhaled. If fact, we never think about it, or worry about it, or plan for it.

We accept it in FAITH -- and we just breathe.

Well, speaking of faith, let's put that same reasoning into our Bible verses on faith, plus they give us great Christian motivation!

In the New Testament of the Bible, the book of Hebrews, Chapter 11, is called the Great Heroes of Faith. God shares with us great examples of people who had great faith.

The Gift of Faith is Even more Amazing than the Beauty of the Heavens Above!

For example: It was by faith that Enoch was taken up to heaven without dying --"he disappeared, because God took him." For before he was taken up, he was known as a person who pleased God. Hebrews 11:5 NLT

Oh, before I go any further, this is VERY important: "It is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that God exists and that He reward those who sincerely seek Him." Hebrews 11:6 NLT

Wow! I LOVE that Bible verse on faith, because I like rewards....and I do seek God... through reading the Bible, having faith in Jesus Christ, praying, and trusting that God is in charge of my life. What about you?

"It was by faith that Noah built a large boat to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God, who warned him about things that had never happened before. By his faith, Noah condemned the rest of the world, and he received the righteousness that comes by faith. Hebrews 11:7 NLT

"It was by faith that Abraham offered Isaac as a sacrifice when God was testing him. Abraham, who had received God's promises, was ready to sacrifice his only son, Isaac, even though God had told him, "Isaac is the son through whom your descendants will be counted."

Abraham reasoned that if Isaac died, God was able to bring him back to life again. And in a sense, Abraham did receive his son back from the dead." Hebrews 11: 17-19 NLT

"It was by faith that the people of Israel marched around Jericho for seven days, and the walls cam crashing down." Hebrews 11: 30 NLT

And I have only shared with you a few of the Heroes of Faith --check out the rest of them, all in Hebrews 11.

Here is another of my favorite faith Bible verses: So, faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ. Romans 10:17 NLT

Here is a short, simple verse on FAITH: "Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong." I Corinthians 16:13 and verse 14 says, "Do everything in love."

"Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law." Galatians 2:16 NLT

"So it is clear that no one can be made right with God by trying to keep the law. For the Scriptures say, "It is through faith that a righteous person has life."
Gal. 3:11 NIV

And here is one of my favorites (Thumbs Up) "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith -- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God -- not by works, so that no one may boast." Ephesians 2: 8-9 NIV

John 3:16 has become well-known because of Tim Tebow's (football quarterback) faith: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes (has faith) in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." NIV
